Scarlett Johansson modeling the new shearling-lined purse from Louis Vuitton. Nice bags… I MEAN, BAG! BAG!
Damn it.
In a related story, Louis Vuitton has accused Lindsay Lohan of absconding with his clothes following a disastrous shoot for Elle two months ago! Here’s the scoopage from Page Six…
“Louis Vuitton had sent over some samples for her to wear in the shoot,” said a snitch. “Lindsay, kept shoving the clothes into her bag, and a stylist’s assistant kept getting them out of the bag, only to have Lindsay keep trying to take them. She ended up walking off with a very expensive shirt and some other items - which screwed Louis Vuitton because they were set to go to Vogue, W and Harper’s Bazaar for other shoots. They were furious and kept trying to get their clothes back, but … Lindsay walked out with them and never returned calls.”
So maybe Louis was the one who put that cocaine in Lindsay’s pocket?

I’m on vacation, and therefore a little off my schedule, which is why I just look at the NYT style section from yesterday today, and oh holy hell, check out the gigantic writeup DB Clay got! It even features this awesome photo of founder Garett Stenson. Congratulations to our hometown homies.

Tomorrow marks the Grand Opening of Union Rose, a new shop offering handcrafted, locally made items including women’s, children’s, accessories and gifts. Handmade Julz, Allium, Knot Ugly and Motard 66 are just a few of the lines that they’re carrying. Stop by Union Rose and check it out tomorrow night during their opening event, 2023 NE MLK Jr. Blvd.

If you venture out for First Thursday, you should wine, cheese, and cracker your way over to the Art Institute to check out their exhibit of local sustainable fashion, and then head to Le Train Bleu (748 NW 11th) for their Summer Masquerade. Aside from the motivation to drink cocktails through a mask, you’ll also be treated to a trunk show of Seattle designer Kimberly Baker’s organic, yet tough jewelry designs, and a first crack at the store’s new photo booth. From 6-9 pm!

I’m loving that this guy is dedicated to keeping his Adidas (from the outlet in Troutdale, aka the Troutlets) super clean. Every time he puts them on, he rubs down the rubber with Oxyclean, and the leather with a damp cloth—he found out the hard way that chemicals will break down the leather over time. He also added a warning about urinating in public bathrooms while drunk—apparently the pink is the same shade as those urinal cakes. I was thinking the color scheme was more Easter, but everyone’s entitled to their own associations.
The internets’ fashion blogs are ablaze about High Tide Heels:

They seem to originate from a 2002 collection by Australian designer Lisa Carney, who intended them as a concept piece, which is possibly where this photo came from:

but then… Jean Paul Gaultier did this for S/S 2007:

My goodness.
I know fanny packs are an almost universal don’t, on par with, like, Tevas, but these ones are actually okay:

Called BagPacks, their made locally by FIT graduate Visnja Clayton (and how cute is it that the dog is doing a number in the photo?), check ‘em out here .
Tomorrow is the last day to take advantage of Greenloop’s (8005 SE 13th) summer sale, with huge discounts on green favorites like Anna Cohen and Loomstate, plus tons more.
