Architecture Batteries not included

Last week, I got to enjoy a couple glorious days in the windy city, catching up with friends, seeing fireworks, eating pizza, and taking the architecture river cruise. The tour was extremely informative and fun (thanks to boat’s full bar). Here are some pictures taken on the cruise of the amazing and well-planned architecture of Chicago.

Near the end of the cruise, the Captain informed us that there are plans to build the tallest building in the U.S. on the Chicago lakefront. At first I thought that this could be pretty cool. He said that it was going to be spiral shaped with sweeping views and designed by well renowned Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava. BUT then I googled it.
