Shopping Guide New Store: Atomic Daylight

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Thu, Sep 6 at 11:11 AM

More info pending, but here’s a heads up on Portland’s latest retail acquisition, Atomic Daylight (8711 N Lombard), opened by Jaime Potts to showcase her own one-of-a-kind pieces, as well as some select designer vintage. Looking forward to checking it out. From the St. Johns Sentinel:

Designer Jaime Potts has had her own clothing line for years, sold mostly out of stores in California. One day, the two-year North Portland resident was having coffee at Anna Bannana’s on Lombard when she looked out the window and saw a “For Rent” sign on a store window. An idea occurred to her. “Do my own clothing line, have my own store,” she says. “Why not?” Atomic Daylight, which opened Sept. 5, carries Potts’ one-of-a-kind clothing (“If it happens to be in your size, lucky for you,” she says) from new and recycled materials, along with some “very select” designer vintage items.
