Yesterday I stopped by the work in progress that is Frances May, the much anticipated (by me, at least!) boutique opening its doors this Saturday at 1013 SW Washington. It’s a bigger space than I expected, with nice high ceilings and lots of widows. It was still being worked on by proprietress Pamela Baker-Miller and her cadre of helpers, but she promised it would be ready in time for the champagne reception Saturday evening from 6-8 pm. I posted earlier about some of the lines she will be carrying, but I am especially excited for Samantha Pleet, who collaborated with Avant16 on a short film, She Comes in Colors, to showcase her Spring/Summer 2008 collection. Watch it here.
