Event Blogarama

Blogs are taking over the world! I’m even writing about blogs on a blog!

My day would not be complete without checking in with blog search engine, Technorati to read the latest blog posts. Without Technorati, how would I ever know that Christina Ricci wants Jessica Biel’s butt. Oh yeah, read it here.

But seriously, blogs are a really important business tool and this Saturday (4/5) DIY Lounge is hosting “Blogging as a Way to Market your Crafty Business (101)” from 12-2 at The DIY Lounge (1639 NE Alberta). Here are some more details:

Blogs are much more than just online journals - they’re a powerful way to build community, and an excellent marketing tool — that is, if you use them wisely. In this class, we’ll discuss techniques for building a compelling blog, attracting a wide audience, and then directing attention to your own art/craft business. We’ll also talk about click-through ads and affiliate marketing programs. You’ll leave with lots of good resources for further research and tools for getting started.

Registration is open now and you can do so on their website.
