Project Runway: Could We Be Watching the Last Season?

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Mon, Sep 29, 2008 at 11:44 AM

Uh-oh. Looks like the transition from Bravo to Lifetime is not going smoothly for Project Runway, according to IMDB:

Supermodel Heidi Klum's hit reality TV fashion design contest Project Runway has been dealt a severe blow as it plans for a new season - a New York judge has blocked the show's move to America's Lifetime network.

The judge has issued a preliminary ruling against the Weinstein Company, which owns Lifetime, to prevent network bosses airing the sixth season of the programme.

Looks like Leanne may have caught the last train on this one. The big bummer here is that if this halts the show, we won't be able to see Lindsay Lohan as the guest judge in the already-filmed series opener. Not to mention that it probably sucks pretty massively for the designers who were accepted for the show. Stay tuned (or not).

Tim Gunn's a great positive example of the Asian garment slave trade. Who would have thought that a young Vietnamese girl smuggled into New York would transform herself into such a prominent fashion judge?
