Fashion Idom Spring 2009 Preview

On Sunday, Modi Soondarotok of Idom will be showing her Spring 2009 collection as part of Portland Fashion Week.
Soondarotok says that the pieces are split between the complicated architectural designs that she loves and simple, pretty clothes made to wear around town. A little fantasy, a little practicality. Should be a good show!

Both of these pieces, and much of what I saw today, has an early 60s Mad Men kind of feel. I'm really loving that look this year!
Italian midnight blue and gold lace. The quintessential cocktail dress.
You can't tell from this pic, but the Japanese print is so unique.
