There's an interesting-sounding trunk show happening Friday evening at IDOM, from 6-9 pm, for Textura, the project of Christina Maria DesVaux that connects Uruguayuan women's traditional wool weaving with urban design to promote economic and social development there. It's pretty scarce on the internet, which is indicative of a small-scale operation, and as far as I can tell Friday's cash-and-check-only show is a rare opportunity to get your hands on Textura goods. The dress on the flier looks yummy:
