Union Rose Open in New Montavilla Location

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Thu, Dec 3, 2009 at 10:06 AM

Union Rose has made the switch from its original location on MLK to its new digs in the Montavilla neighborhood at 7909 SE Stark, and its doors are open for business. Things are going to get official tomorrow, when they hold their grand re-opening party from 6-8 pm with the requisite drinks and snacks, plus raffles and tons of holiday shopping ideas for stocking stuffers and more. The addition of this shop along with the Portland Garment Factory is making this adorable little corner of southeast even sweeter. If you hardly ever get down to Montavilla, it's a great excuse to see how it's developed, from old standbys like Ya Hala to the Tub & Tan to Country Cat and, now, Union Rose!

A couple of good gift ideas from a few of the shop's all-local small companies:

A variety of delectable natural products for face, body, and home from Servello would be awesome to find in your stocking!

The multi-chain earrings by Allium Designs are of-the-moment and would compliment a wide range of recipients' personal styles.

I have a feeling if you gave someone a package of Autumn Comfort Candles' Oregon Lavender Natural Powdered Laundry Soap that they would have a hard time going back to Tide!
