The Community Warehouse, Crafty Wonderland, and You

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Thu, Dec 10, 2009 at 10:41 AM

This week's Sold Out column is about Sunday's Crafty Wonderland's annual Super Colossal Holiday Sale, a bonanza of local craft vendors (like, 200) and a killer opportunity to pinch off the remainder of your holiday shopping in one swoop. Aside from the where (Oregon Convention Center, Hall D, 777 NE MLK) and when (Sunday, 11 am-7 pm) and the 411 on why founders Torie Nguyen and Cathy Pitters have decided to discontinue the monthly fairs at the Doug Fir, you should also know the details on this year's partnership with the Community Warehouse. Says Pitters, "This year we are proud to team up with the Community Warehouse, a local non-profit agency that collects and redistributes donated household goods to individuals and families in need. The Community Warehouse will have a booth where you can stop by and learn about their organization and also make a donation. They will be accepting gently used small household items like toasters, pots + pans, utensils, alarm clocks, towels, blankets + sleeping pillows."
