Activist and textile artist, Carole Lung (working under the name Frau Fiber) seeks to "make transparent the production practices of the apparel industry, displaying them in open spaces such as storefronts, nomadic production facilities and personal exchanges" She'll be doing just that at Fat Fancy this Friday. From 11:30 - 5:30, Frau Fiber will be constructing a "Columbia" style jacket on a bicycle powered sewing machine outside the store. Volunteers cyclists are wanted to help power the machine, and will have an opportunity to chat with the artist during the process.

Carole Lung is in residence at The Museum of Contemporary Craft as part of their Gestures of Resistance exhibition; highlighting those who use craft as a way to motive change.
