Moore & Giles at Bubble Boutique

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Tue, May 25, 2010 at 9:37 AM

We're in the midst of a retail anniversary blitz, with several more store birthdays coming up in the next few weeks. One such event is the four-year mark for Bubble Boutique, who are breaking out the usual discounts and bottles of champagne, but with a special focus on Moore & Giles, a company they're introducing Portland shoppers to from Virginia. While Bubble has a reputation for stocking European design, this is an all-American brand that designs and produces leather as their primary business, then uses it for their inhouse line of accessories. If you love leather, the huge gallery of options on their site is worth a drool-tour. But if you don't have any upholstery plans coming up on the calendar, Bubble's party this Thursday (6-9 pm) is a chance to score some leathers already fabbed into convenient handbag form with a trunk show of the line where you can nab them at 15% off pre-orders. Like the leather selection, the bag options are vast, but I'm partial to the spins on a classic English tote with unexpected colors and texture combinations:

Can't wait to see them in the flesh! (Pun intended.)
