Mobel & Zora's Growing Up, Going Local

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Tue, Jun 1, 2010 at 9:30 AM

An addendum to last week's round-up of retail anniversaries is the four-year celebration of Mabel & Zora, which started out on NE Alberta as a girly destination for mid-priced dresses and jeans plus gobs of jewelry, much of it local, and cute basics like jeans and scarves. Since then they've transitioned to the Pearl District and gradually become more and more polished. To cap off their four years of success, the shop is hosting a trunk show for Portland jewelry company GemKitty on Thursday (5-8 pm), and a sale offering 10% off dresses storewide beginning at Thursday's party and running through Sunday June 6.

Even more exciting is that co-owner Tiffanee Bean is planning to launch her own line of '50s and '60s inspired line, with a possible launch this coming summer. So excited to see the new addition to Portland-made apparel!
