Brides Against Breast Cancer

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Thu, Dec 30, 2010 at 4:29 PM

Avoid an overblown wedding-induced case of the MeMeMes if you're planning on getting hitched in the new year. The annual Brides Against Breast Cancer event is right around the corner, where designers, former brides, and retailers donate thousands of bridal gowns (starting at just $199) to a nationwide "tour" of dresses, with sales benefiting Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. It hits the Portland Doubletree on January 21st, when you can fork over $20 for first dibs during the "power hour" preview from 8-10 am (early!) or sleep in and go when it's free after 10 am Friday, and through the 23rd. The best part is that the 45-city tour starts in Portland, so we really do get the best dibs on pieces valued as high as $2,000 and for as much as 75% off original retail. Find a bargain, do some good, and yes, get what you want for YouYouYou.
