Sweet Nothings

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Fri, Jan 14, 2011 at 3:31 PM

The Salty Teacup is one of those gloriously cluttered, personal little shops that are the destination of every treasure hunter, where half the pleasure is in exploration and discovery. As a SE-ster, I don't get up to St. Johns very often, so I'm pleased to get word of a specific event to put on the calendar: On Saturday Feb 5, Salty Teacup will host "Sweet Nothings," a day-long design challenge in which 12 designers will create garments from lingerie that are suitable to be worn in public. Attendees can stop in from 11 am-9 pm to weigh in on their favorite, and all will be for sale and on display through Valentine's Day. Plus look out for door prizes, goody bags, and sundry refreshments.
