Fashion Leanne Marshall and Gretchen Jones at New York Fashion Week

Leanne Marshall showed her ethereal eco conscious Spring/Summer 2012 collection at the Helen Mills Event Space last Saturday at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Filled with splashes of lemon yellow, soft lavender blues, and creamy white, the collection was unmistakably Ms. Marshall. Each silhouette was stunning. Sculpted billows of ruffle, exquisite attention to detail, and gowns fit for the chicest of Uptown brides seemed to effortlessly float down the runway. See the entire collection via Ecouterre here.

Next from the hometown roster is Gretchen Jones, whose presentation for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week on September 8th, garnered press galore. Here’s what Women’s Wear Daily had to say:
“Showing 20 models in a police-like lineup, Gretchen Jones made a clear reference to her villain personality on “Project Runway.” “I am guilty as charged, but that’s not the end of the story,” she said. For her part, Jones has moved on, using her Southwestern roots to inspire a charming array of layered clothes in desert hues, graphic and pictorial floral prints and touches of denim.”The collection is quintessential Jones, touches of her signature boho spirit mixed with glamorous city girl silhouettes.
