If you know Modified Style Portland, the aspiring non-profit that has held fashion shows benefiting area non-profits (current beneficiaries are the Pixie Project, Sisters of the Road, and CHAP). This year they're diversifying with a benefit dinner in collaboration with Luce. Called Cinque Portate Festa, it's a five-course Italian dinner with wine pairings from Angel Vine Wine. Tickets are $95 per person, and also include a ticket to the 2012 fashion event (which I'll be guest judging along with Shop Adorn's Nicole Whitesell, Lizz Basinger of Portland Fashion Week's Catapult competition, former Project Runway competitor Becky Ross, and Portland Picks' Alisa Sloan), which is a pretty good deal considering all that's included, not to mention the feeling of knowing you've contributed to something useful for once in your life. There will also be a silent auction, including looks from past fashion shows, and it's coming right up on Saturday, November 12. You can get your tickets by writing here, and if you have a donation for the auction, you have until Thursday the 10th to make it. Meanwhile, peep the promo video made by Jeff Marsh for a better idea of what Modified is up to:
