48 Hours in Portland with Joanna Bean Martin

Posted by Kayla Rekofke on Thu, Nov 10, 2011 at 11:05 AM

I was first introduced to Joanna Bean Martin’s brilliant work when I saw Gretchen Jones’ custom textiles showcased in her s/s '12 collection this past fall. Martin runs AfterAll Creative Studio, a company that specializes in identity development, art direction, creative consulting, and surface design here in Portland. After the whirlwind of Content 11’ was over I was curious to see what Ms. Martin was up to, and she turned me onto a fabulous new blog called East Side Bride—an evil club of mean hipster brides. There she was asked about what do to with just 48 hours in our beautiful city, Joanna was up for the task of packing in the best of PDX in such a short time. Here’s a peek, and you can scope the whole post here. Martin is currently working on new textiles and graphics for her luxurious silk scarf collection—check back for more deets on that soon.
