Retailers Lodekka and Wanderlust, the pioneers of PDX clothing carts, have come together to share a new retail pod project with a grand re-opening shin-dig on December 2nd from 4-9 pm. Lodekka is a men’s and women’s resale shop that resides in a 1965 double decker bus from England, while Wanderlust is a mobile boutique based out of a 1969 Cardinal Deluxe Travel Trailer. Lodekka’s Erin Sutherland and Wanderlust’s Vanessa Lurie became fast friends after meeting at an NPR Marketplace interview. The rest is history. Open for just two weeks at the new location on North Williams Avenue, many shoppers have mistaken them for one giant vintage shop—which is exactly what Sutherland and Lurie were hoping for. This new retail pod is a true collaboration and innovative experience for shoppers, offering hard to find vintage mixed with eclectic handmade goods. Mark your calendar for their grand re-opening, which includes 20% off items from both shops, special gift certificate packages, and a screening of the classic holiday film It’s A Wonderful Life. Lodekka and Wanderlust are now located in a small parking lot between Pix Patisserie and Hopework's BikeBar on North Williams Avenue. For more info on each shop and their exciting new business endeavor check their blogs: Lodekka and Wanderlust.
