Apropos of the layer of frost that dusted most of my neighborhood earlier this morning: I just stumbled on Beau & Marigold, a new line of mostly sweaters designed and made in Portland by Anna Barthelm, also of the lines Lily McNeal and Dear Pruitt. The wool for each made to order piece comes from either a local small family-run mill or an old-school mill in Italy, and they "believe in the natural imperfections that are inherent in anything crafted by hand." Whatever those imperfections may be, they aren't readily obvious based on these images of the Fair Isle variations. Find them at Alder & Co. and direct from their site.
