Event Spring 2012 Mad Men Collection Release Tonight

The new season of Mad Men starts March 25th and the corporate tie-in events are heating up. Among the best of these is Banana Republic's Mad Men collection, a limited edition line in the style of the best of the 60's.
The clothes are okay. To me they look like a slightly more stylized version of what Banana Republic generally has to offer, probably much more expensive, with only a few stand out items. The real fun news is that the downtown Banana Republic (at 710 SW Yamhill St., just across from Pioneer Square) is hosting a release party for the collection tonight featuring cocktails, appetizers, and first crack at buying the stuff. They'll only let their card members in from 5 - 6 p.m., but after that everyone is welcome.
