Sure, one should always strive for originality in their personal style, but I still have a very short (like, less than five) list of "iconic" pieces that are on the same bucket list as things like "vacation in Bora Bora", except even more expensive, even used. Number one on this list would be one of those fucking insouciantly priced Chanel jackets. If I ever got my hands on one I would probably hang it up on the wall and glare at it jealously for a week before I even wore it. More likely, I will someday just have a good tailor make me something similar. And now that Chanel has released this video showing the step-by-step process through which their jackets are made, it should be perfectly easy to do:
