First Friday at Aequanimitas

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Mon, Apr 2, 2012 at 2:28 PM

Little shop of wonders Aequanimitas is blowing up the 811 E Burnside building this (First) Friday with a party to celebrate new art from Rachelle Waldie (who uses the shop as a studio space along with Heather Treadway and Meagan Hardy). In fact, it's Waldie's first-ever artist reception, and a handy excuse to visit the tucked-away shop filled little treasures from the trio and other designers (the event will also launch new jewelry from Seahag and Walrus). Says Treadway of Waldies work: "Organic cellular podlike shapes painted on colorful and textured wooden canvases." Meanwhile Treadway herself has been expanding her own collection to include new shorts and cycling skirts and dresses along with her signature capes—now for infants and toddlers (onesies too—it is Spring, after all). Stop by to take it all in from 6-10 pm at 811 E Burnside Suite *119.
