Event Celebrate Success

One of the favored fashion-centric charity organizations out there, Dress for Success, is gearing up for their 12th annual fundraiser, Celebrate Success. A dinner, fashion show (featuring spring merch from Mabel and Zora, Pendleton, Eileen Fisher, Joys Uptown, Garnish, and Mink), and live auction, this year's edition will also feature a first-ever "Diamond Dig":
Celebrate Success guests may purchase a raffle ticket for their chance to "dig for diamonds." Each participant will walk away with a fabulous faux cocktail ring they can flash around for the rest of the evening - those who receive clear stone rings will be invited up on stage during the event to find out what they have won! Each of these individuals will walk away with something fabulous - but one lucky guest will be the grand prize winner of the 1 Carat Diamond from Lucia Fine Jewelers..
For the uninitiated, Dress for Success promotes "the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life." In other words, if you have a nice office-appropriate suit or other working girl attire collecting dust in a closet somewhere, these are the people you might want to give it to, whether or not you can afford the $150 for a ticket to the fundraiser (VIPs can pay and extra $35 for a pre-event "beauty bar" with makeup and hair styling over nibbles and wine). If you can, however, mark your calendar for Friday, April 27 at the downtown Hilton and start saving up those auction pennies. Tickets here.
