I came upon the following product by accident, when Whole Foods had been out of my regular night cream for weeks. As I was pondering my options I came across the Wild Carrot Herbals section. I have been using (and loving) their eye cream for a while so I decided to give some of their other products a try. I grabbed the Vanilla Bean Skin Cream, opened it, and was immediately hit with the scent of vanilla frosting. I put some on my hand and it felt like I was smearing vanilla frosting onto myself. This may sound weird, but I thought it was awesome, so I bought it, and at $11.99 it was a steal compared to other night creams. I used it that night and when I woke up the next morning my skin was super soft and hydrated, and the scent still faintly lingered. I have been using it ever since and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
Needless to say I am a new devotee to Wild Carrot Herbals. Not just because their products are great, but because it is a local company based in Rickreall, OR (11 miles west of Salem) and they grow almost every ingredient that is in their products right on their own farm. The ingredients that are not grown by them are sourced organically whenever possible and are local or fair trade. They hand pour and label all of their small batch products and have done extensive testing on hundreds of their friends and family members instead of testing on animals.
Wild Carrot Herbal products are available at Whole Foods, New Seasons, various co-ops around Portland, and on their website here.
