Inspiration / Fashion Brian Atwood Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

So I'm totally obsessed with Brian Atwood's newly released, first-ever ad campaign featuring lingerie model Candice Swanepoel in a bedroom surrounded by naked men who seem much more interested in her shoes than in her/each other. The mix of high-fashion, sex, and grit feels very Tom-Ford-meets-early-'90s-Kate-Moss, minus the kiddie-porn undertones. I strongly believe that the ever-increasing use of men as sex objects in advertising is a sure sign of progress, and should be encouraged wherever we see it. Of course, as a society we're not quite out of the woods yet, 'cause the ad was actually banned from display at the Madison Avenue building where Atwood's NY shop is set to open its doors soon (lame!). I dream of a day when naked men will be used to sell everything from toothpaste to car insurance, as women once were. I would take images like this over Flo from Progressive any day!
