When it comes to fashion, music, or just plain awesomeness, no one is a bigger icon and object of my adoration than David Bowie, which is evidenced by the fact that the cover of Low is the wallpaper on every electrical device I own. When I found out about the upcoming retrospective at The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the first international retrospective ever of Bowie's work, I immediately began plotting how I will raise the funds to make it over there.
The exhibit, titled David Bowie Is, will feature more than 300 items including costumes, handwritten lyrics, diaries, sketches, musical instruments, and album artwork spanning his 5 decade long career. The exhibit runs from March 23rd to July 28th and will surely be amazing. I might just take a cue from my middle school self and raise funds with car washes, dressed as Ziggy of course.
