Emily Katz at First Thursday

Posted by Toby Robboy on Thu, Nov 1, 2012 at 8:59 AM

In conjunction with the fashion show In The Flower Months, first mentioned here, which will mark the return of designer/artist/all-around-creative Emily Katz to the local fashion scene, there will be an art reception tonight from 6-10 at the Breeze Block Gallery, showing Katz's art work that inspired the creation of her new capsule collection. The exhibition will consist of "freehand embroideries inspired by the dream poems of Jeevan Singh," with floral illustrations designed to "aid dreaming, inspire sleep, or induce nocturnal visions." This will give us a preview of what to expect from the fashion show on the 17th, and I can't wait to see what Katz has been up to.
