Fashion's Night Out Becomes "Fall Into Fashion"

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Wed, Aug 14, 2013 at 3:29 PM

It was announced in February that the international retail festivities founded by Anna Wintour in the wake of the economic crash, Fashion's Night Out, would not be happening this year. Portland's been participating for the past couple years, and at the time the Portland Business Alliance's Lisa Frisch—who's been instrumental in the local version—told me: "Our plan for now is to stage something similar: a fashion show that is free and open to the public in a central downtown location such as Director Park or Pioneer Courthouse Square, during the early part of September, showcasing the very best independent and national retailers in downtown Portland."

And... it looks like that's exactly what they've done, complete with free SmartParking and PediCab rides. The date for the re-branded Fall into Fashion is set for Wednesday, September 11, with downtown shops staying up until nine. And, now they have their own logo, too:
