The Real Things Pop-Up Shop, which features only handmade goods including furniture, ceramics, jewelry, leather goods, apparel, cosmetics, and more by local artists, is happening this weekend. The shop, which has had three successful events over the summer, aims to support and promote local artists working in handmade media. It is volunteer-run and takes no commission, meaning that all proceeds go directly to the artists. The kick-off party for the shop is on Friday, September 27th from 6-9 PM and will offer wine, snacks, DJs, raffles, and the chance to meet and talk with all of the Real Things artists. Normal shop hours will follow on Saturday and Sunday from 10AM-dark.
