Milk Glass Market and New American Complement Each Other—and Their Neighborhood
Give your furs back to the animals! If you have a fur that you just can't bring yourself to wear, but also don't want to just add to the landfill, this is the perfect opportunity for you to give it up with a clear conscience. Buffalo Exchange will be accepting fur apparel donations (including trims, accessories and coats) to benefit the Coats for Cubs drive now through Earth Day, Tuesday April 22. The used furs will be donated to rehabilitation organizations across the country to use for the purpose of providing bedding and comfort to orphaned and injured wildlife. Since 2006, Buffalo Exchange has collected a total of 8,524 used furs through the Coats for Cubs program. It doesn't matter what condition it's in either, because they take them apart, so don't hesitate if you have a slightly gnarly piece.
Buffalo Exchange was started in Tuscon, Arizona and now has 49 stores nationwide. They remain a family owned business and pride themselves as advocates for the environment. The idea of recycled clothing saves those who shop there from purchasing big corporation disposable fashion. It's no surprise that their dedication extends from there.
You can drop off your donation of furs at these locations:
