Fade to Light, Now with Final Details

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Wed, Feb 5, 2014 at 11:59 AM

Regardless of the fact that usually sleepy February is suddenly filled with local fashion shows (two in the coming week alone!), the winter edition of Fade to Light remains one of the most important such brouhahas on the calendar. It will bring up the rear as a sort of Feb grand finale, taking place on Wednesday the 26th at its traditional home, the Crystal Ballroom. The details and lineup are all set up like grandma's Jello salad at this point.

First off the designers you'll be seeing new collections from are Adelheid Bergin, Bad Wolf Clothier, Bryce Black, Emit, Garnish, The Ladies of Nashionland (Clair Vintage Inpired, Carolyn Hart, Hubris Apparel), Michelle Lesniak, Poema, SKPDX, Taruc, Wandering Muse, and WWJJD—a mix of the familiar and names that are still relatively new on Portland's runway circuit, which is always an exciting proposition. Of course it will all be DJ'd by DJ Gregarious, and, in an element that distinguished this show from the standard runway format, each line will be accompanied by a video of their own making, offering a multi-media experience of each brand's inspirations and priorities. Nitty gritties:
