Portland Hosts CiderCon—and Embraces a Growing Cider Culture
Modified Style Portland is the trifecta of fashion events. Not only is it an entertaining runway show, it is a sustainable runway show—all to support local charities. The sixth annual event will be held this fall on Thursday, October 16th and MSP has put out the official call for designers.
Using recycled and donated fabric provided by MSP, designers of all skill levels are inspired to create innovative yet wearable fashions that are then auctioned off to benefit local charities. Everyone from professional designers to first-time sewers are encouraged to sign up. There is also a youth category for designers 18 and under.
This year, funds raised by the design auction benefit p:ear and Community Transitional School. Visit modifiedstyle.org for more information or contact Lizz to sign up as a Youth, Amateur, Professional, or Collections designer in this year's event at the Ambridge Ballroom.
